We are unhappy and worried that some kids cannot stay at home, not because they do not want to but because they do not have a home. We are concerned and perturbed that we do not have emergency relief homes and shelters to cater for children without homes. They are the future and should not be ignored!
They are the leaders of tomorrow! Take a look, they use empty bottles and support their head with hands as a pillow, they are huddled and cuddled up without clothes! These children are vulnerable to coronavirus and are subject to abuse in society.
We hope the Ministry of Women Affairs and the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development, will coordinate all humanitarian affairs in Nigeria and ensure that no child suffers from hunger or vulnerable to infection and malnutrition.
Every child’s life matter, they are part of us.
Our hearts are with you all.
We agree with The United Nations Children’s Fund that every child has the right to survive and thrive and that every child has the right to grow up in a safe and inclusive environment.
