School Clothing Project
- 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
- Sokoto
This project is geared towards providing school uniforms and shoes for school children who are disadvantaged, frail and orphans in public schools. We intend to reach 50 public schools across Nigeria. We are concerned about the safety and wellbeing of school children who goes to school without school uniform, shoes and basic amenities.
The New Being Foundation, Nigeria, a research-based non-governmental organization, embarked on the schools clothing project towards achieving the annual Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of goals 3 and 4 projects to promote inclusive, quality education, good health and wellbeing.
This year’s school clothing project in Sokoto state has helped bring a sense of belonging to disadvantaged students who have no wherewithal to wear uniforms, which invariably makes them inferior and makes them identifiable in case of insecurity challenges. Currently, we have reached Fifty (50) schools’ children in three schools (A.A Raji Special School, Yakubu Muhazu Junior Secondary School and Labo Dogo Daji Junior Secondary school) in Sokoto metropolis through our crowdfunding school project initiative.
Project Goal
The goal is to ensure that children appear in good school uniforms.
